Envelopes addressed to HLBS

These frayed and yellowing envelopes are empty now, but their use was essential in the early 1900s. Use of the post office allowed for consistent and speedy communication, which is incredibly important for any social support system.

This envelope from 1931 contains meal vouchers that Sara Galitzky planned to pay for kosher meals served to unhoused people moving through the area.
